Mesothelioma and Work Exposure
Mesothelioma is more common among those who work with asbestos. Construction workers, firefighters and military veterans are at a higher risk.
The lining of the lung (pleural mesothelioma), or abdomen, is the most common mesothelioma site. In rare cases it can affect the heart or testicles.

Signs and symptoms

Prognosis
Like all cancers, mesothelioma is caused by a mutation in a cell's genetic code that allows it to grow without being controlled. These cells accumulate to form an uncontrolled tumor. Scientists aren't sure the causes of mesothelioma, but they do know that
