The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a excellent choice if you're on a budget and do not need an extra stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop comfortable.

It's easy to push, and it is solid when walking along woodland paths and kerbs. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate lightweight cheap single buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits in aeroplane overhead luggage. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels that is made from Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate across all types of surfaces and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a sleek pushchair with a delicate, elegant aesthetic. The base frame alone weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it from the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 with a reassuring way. It is also machine washable at 30deg which helps avoid the stains that result from smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be transformed into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply turning the handle, meaning parents can choose the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon can hold one or two kids from 6 months to 5 years old, and it has a wide storage basket for everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that turn from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long trips or naps.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid, although it does not have the same flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to move, however, and fits through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a second stroller that is affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also has the option of reclining in multiple positions and a parent cup holder. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

It performed better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the smallest we tested, offering only a direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopies.

It took us under three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. It's lacking certain features we consider essential for double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry baby from birth up to around 3.5 years old, and can be converted into a seat and carrycot with only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base and a reversible baby carriage.

It is really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. Although it is a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and slid through doors without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or let them swivel which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to swivel while walking along a stony path. It handled the situation well, even though it felt a little more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also manufacture a vast variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is simple to fold and fits easily in the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It's heavier than other strollers that we tried, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-made. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other items.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other prams' hoods that are bounced back into toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's large enough to fit a changing bag as well as plenty of groceries. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you require a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first came onto the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents all over the world. It's an aluminium framed stroller that can see you through your baby's first years and beyond. It's got a few distinctive features like the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a suspension system built-in that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made from tough foam and minimise punctures. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through tight streets with ease.

It folds in just four steps and automatically locks without fuss. It can also be folded and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs or in the trunk of the car. It also comes equipped with the ability to add a car seat or carrycot with the adaptors included. The brakes come with a single travel stroller action and are colour coded. They also are compatible with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single gb stroller pushchair that is budget-friendly is surprisingly easy to maneuver and features excellent dual suspension, a one-single hand fold stroller fold, and a handy carry strap. It is also lightweight and durable. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat comes with two large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't ideal it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be set so that they face each one. They can also be positioned towards the parents. This should reduce sibling disputes about who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a huge gear tray, a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.
